How Samsung Led Backlight Works

Samsung TV's backlighting is called oblique lighting. Backlighting provides the human eye with an unbiased reference point for hues and differences in dimly lit rooms, and can enhance color visualization when using a TV.  

When we use a PC workstation in front of a TV or in a completely dark or largely shaded room, we create a less than ideal survey environment that can compromise our visual experience - leaving us blinded by the glare of staring and adversely affected by a light window against a very dark background.

Although we accurately see the screen contrasting against a dark background, our eyes adjust to the normal brightness of the entire field of view - creating strong contrast when seeing lights on the screen.
